May Happenings
May is a busy month for Edison with lots of activities for students and parents.
- Edison’s annual jog-a-thon is back! Students will be jogging and gathering sponsors to see which grade-level can secure the most donations for the school. If you have an opportunity, please sponsor a student.
- A new school garden is in the works. In the coming months, neighbors will begin to see a transformation in the garden space at Edison (that empty area between the cupola and the school building.) An Eagle Scout project will help Edison beautify the space. There will be more details to come, but we are happy to have the help getting started so students can plant.
- Thanks to all who donated to the Direct Drive in February. Edison reached about half of its fundraising goal. This targeted fundraiser helps with field trips, teacher resources, and special projects. If you missed the Direct Drive and would like to still donate, please contact the school to see how to best help.
- The Edison Little Free Library Book Barn (in the cupola near the west gate) is always in need of children’s books. If you are able, please help us keep it stocked throughout the summer.
