STEAM Activities

With Connected Lane County

Connected Lane County offers interactive workshops for inservice days where youth will explore all types of fun Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activities at their downtown Eugene space, SparkLab.

This is a fee-based service, but all of the funds that come in are directed back into the program. Income generated from these workshops will be reinvested into their programming to help us serve those who need us most. Five fee waivers are offered for each workshop for students who may not be able to cover the cost. Contact Brice Mercer at bmercer@lesd.k12.or.us or call (541) 393-7414 to request a fee waiver.January 17: T-Shirt Hacking: Transforming t-shirts into works of art or a new garmentJanuary 21: Robots in a Maze: Building and programing LEGO MindstormsFebruary 3-4: Create Your Own Board Game: Design, build, and play your very own board game.
