Ways to Get Involved
The World Athletics Championships Oregon22 is coming to Hayward Field – and our neighborhood – from July 15 to July 24, 2022. With 2,000 of the world’s best athletes from over 200 nations, and 1 billion global viewers, it will be the biggest track and field event to ever come to the United States.
The local organizing committee is seeking the support of more than 1,500 volunteers, who will be integrated into every aspect of the event as members of “Crew22”. Welcoming fans to the stadium, supporting the media, and assisting in the event’s sustainability efforts are just a few of the volunteer roles. Volunteer registration is now open.
