Updates from UO

From the UO Associate Director of Community Relations

Party Patrol/Safety

UOPD is funding a project — and partnering with EPD officers — to have two patrol cars (each with an officer from each office) patrolling campus neighborhoods on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights as the fall term starts.

The cars will respond to calls dispatched by the EPD non-emergency line (541-682-5111), in addition to enforcement concerns while patrolling.

The focus will be enforcing the unruly gathering and social host ordinances, with zero tolerance for party hosts.

If there is an opportunity to educate about mask-wearing, that may be included at the officers’ discretion. (Neighbors with concerns about about mask-less gatherings can contact goodneighbor@uoregon.edu.)

For UO students living off campus, the UO has theYour Neighbors and You brochurewhich provides useful advice and resources for students.
